Sharing More for March

Hi Everyone, today I'd like to share some more creations from both the The ScrapCake Monthly Pack and the Sketch Challenge.  Keep them coming, time is ticking for the Pack with end of month closing in fast.
Tori's 4th Birthday by Anthea English
Anthea has sewn along her top and bottom border stips, used the brackets from the half papers to frame the photo and punched butterlfies, also from the patterned papers, which have come up lovely.  The handmade flower looks great topped with small hearts for a centre piece, whilst the silk flower softens the page.  Lovely Anthea, and loving those yummy cupcakes too!
Kara by Anita Bownds (CT)
Anita wanted to keep the layout clean and simple, so she has used 2 border punches on the top and bottom strips, and on the frame around the photo. A Floral Die was used to create the flower from patterned paper in the top left hand corner.  Anita has also added the paper flower from the pack, lace trim and bling.  Lovely colours and indeed a very clean layout Anita, well done.

SKETCH CHALLENGE

Just for You Card by Tracey Manderson
What a beautiful combination of colours Tracey.  I love how you've used the Copic Markers to colour your image, and the flowers and die cut leaves are gorgeous as well.  Thanks for sharing.

Don't forget, the pumpkin is ticking for the Monthly Pack Challenges.

March Layouts

Time is ticking away for our Monthly Pack Challenge, so make sure you get your challenge in before pumpkin time March 31st.  Now we have more to share from  both the Monthly Pack and the Sketch Challenge.  Have a look and see what the girls have been up to.
MONTHLY PACKS
Just Because Card by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
Claire has cut down the paper and used the strips to make a frame and misted the pale pink flower.  She has then cut, distressed and inked some leaves from the green patterned paper and used a Nestability die to frame the sentiment.  A lovely card Claire.
Kloe by Deb Pulford (CT)
Deb flicked Autumn Nights Glimmer Mist onto the Kraft background, then heavily distressed all edges of the pp's and journaling spots, which were used as layers. Deb randomly placed single bits of bling amongst the ink splatters.  A very basic but most effective layout.  The pic is of Kloe, the teenage daughter of my friend. Thanks Deb, a very minimal layout with a tad of grunge and layers, with a touch of bling!
SKETCH CHALLENGES
Benalla in Bloom by Zan Boyle

Zan has used a floral background to compliment her beautiful rose photos.  Mounting the photo block on red has tied in the colour of the roses, as the yellow strip and Bloom title have.  Complimenting the layout further is the lovely diecuts, soon to be on Scrapville's shelf.
For You Card by Zan Boyle
Zan has used coordinating strips from her stash to create her Card. The circles are touched up with glitter, and a an added touch of bling!
Oct 2nd1976 - take 1 by Angie Wenke

Every so often we get a challenge that starts off as a challenge, then ends up a little lost along the way!  Angie's layout started out on track, but as challenge was double-ended she totally forgot the other two photos!  Angie has done such a lovely job on the layout with beautifully embossed and fussy cut butterflies that we had to share.  There will be more coming soon....

Thanks girls, and don't forget Pumpkin Time for the Monthly Pack on 31st March!

Another Private bout of Happiness

Hi everyone, we have more to share from our gorgeous Monthly Pack using The ScrapCake's "My Private Happiness" range.  Teamed up with these most beautiful flowers it's a must have pack.
bubba by Anita Bownds (CT)
Anita has created a smaller layout for her furry friend Bubba. She has masked in the corners, used paint and stamped bubble wrap using a bit of paint smeared on it. The leaves and hearts look great, and the distressing on the edges gives a bit more added texture.
Jeff & Sue by Angie Wenke
Angie has used lots of fussy cutting on this layout, some die cutting and embossing as well. The layered butterflies look so effective embossed and layered, and Angie has added some handmade paper flowers in her cluster.  The white cardstock strips also look effective mounted up and layered with ribbon or paper for the sentiment and title.  Well done Angie.
Angie's flower cluster with Scrapville's beautiful new flowers, the diecut and embossed butterflies.
A closer look at the raised cardstock with the patterned music paper and sentiment.
 Smiley Kylie by KgW
Kylie has used stamping to create a verse across the page, and punching shapes and butterflies on this month's layout challenge.  The patterned papers have also been used to create a frame with added dimension around the photo.  Well done Kylie.
Joyful by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
CIaire cut a silhouette from the photo and sprayed the background with Glimmer Mist, cut the frame from the patterned paper, then cut it in half. I've done some fussy cutting from the flower patterned paper, and layered them behind the frame. I've then curled up the edges to add some dimension.
The flower has been sprayed with some vintage brown Glimmer Mist, then the edges inked. A few drops of Dimensional Magic was added onto the petals, which is meant to look like dew.  The stamens have been coloured in with a Copic marker. CIaire used the musical note part of the paper to punch out some butterflies.
The hearts were cut from the patterned paper, and the bling and lace trim adhered across the bracket tag.
And this is the title at the top of the layout, nicely spread amongst colour and white space.  Well done Claire, another beautiful creation.

Keep them coming everyone, we are seeing wonderful things!

Sketching March

Today we have some Sketch Challenges to share with you all.  We have a bit of a mix, so we hope you'll enjoy them.  Deb has created this layout for the Sketch Challenge using mostly cardstock.   She wanted to show that you don't need to use patterned papers all the time to produce an good looking layout :)
Putting for Silver by Deb Pulford (CT)
The ribbon, star chipboard, journalling spots, AdornIt Tiny Alphas and Black Glitter Thickers are all from Scrapville. The determination, effort and Silver Medal all belong to Mitch!  Well done Deb.
Happy Easter Card by Melany (Napoli Italy)

A very appropriate time for this one Melany, and the sentiment is a lovely colour, complimented by the dots on the scallop circle.
Happy Birthday Card by Angie Wenke
I previously posted this card under the name of another keen Copic Cardmaker and took it down, then forgot to put it up again.  Angie is loving her Copic Markers and her colouring is gorgeous.  It's great to see the Sketch Challenges helping everyone to meet their birthday commitments!
Thinking of You Card by KgW

Kylie's card also has a double inuendo for Easter, ...if we look carefully in the bottom left corner!  Aren't they just the cutest bunnies!!  Loving the colours and layers, very nice.
 Hugs Card by Tracey Manderson

Well ladies, this card has been created by the lovely Tracey for the Feb/March Sketch Challenge.  Through the joys of the cyber world however, this one mysteriously went astray (I think it floated off into cyber space by balloons, probably blue ones........... until now :0)  ).  As with all challenge entries it is to be shared and enjoyed.  Such a gorgeous card too, the embossing, punching and die cuts all working in well together with the blue and white.  Luvvy Bear looks very happy, thanks for sharing Tracey.

Sketches

Pesto Monster by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
A little update from Claire: "I've used a paint stamp to paint the semi-circle borders along the edge. I painted the chipboard letters in a pesto coloured paint and added some Dimensional Magic. I enjoyed using the MME papers, and the monster is Crate Paper."
I inked the blue vinyl Thickers and added some DM on there to set the ink.
I hid the journaling as I wasn't quite sure where I could fit it on the layout, since I used 3 photos. I've also used a bit of background paint underneath the patterned paper.  Well done Claire, and good on you Tom for getting into something "green and healthy!"
Lily Pond by 'Zan Boyle

Zan has used her sketch layout to display these 3 wonderful Water Lillies, with greens, black and cream to compliment the photos.  The lovely doilies have been cut using a Spellbinder Die from Scrapville. Well done Zan.
Bravo by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
Claire has used the lovely Pebbles baby papers and a boat stamp from Imaginisce. She embossed the white bazzil background and used a couple of Nestabilities to die cut the circle and the tag.
The tag has been stamped and the boat given it a bit of a pop with some foam mounting tape. Added onto the sails was some Dimensional Magic, with a touch of Kindy Glitz for a bit of sparkle. It was then finished off with 3 brads and a bow!  Gorgeous colours Claire, very nice.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful work girls, we will have more to show you all soon!

March Pack

Mother and Daughter by Anita Bownds (CT)

What a beautiful layout Anita, and how much is your daughter like you?!  Lots and lots of fussy cutting and details in this, with added trims and border punching.  The music birds look great cut out and mounted up, and I love your leaves. A touch of distressing along the edges of your frame looks great too. Both the flowers are just gorgeous, well done Anita.
Candy Floss Queen by Beth Metcalf

Another one to tackle the fussy cutting is Beth.  Using distressing and rolling on the edges of her circles has added a lot more texture.  The punched butterflies soften the look, and inking around the cutouts and on the flowers ties in the pink.
Just Because by 'Zan Boyle
I think this is a great photo of Steve and 'Zan.  I love these colours with a touch of white space too, the whole layout works so well.  The flowers add such a beautiful touch too.
Here you can see the way 'Zan has mounted up the hearts in both sizes to add further dimension, and then underlined them all with the white lace trim.
Mother & Daughter by Angie Wenke
Angie has added some interesting elements to her layout by framing it with bits and pieces of the co-ordinating border strips.  She has cutout and offset the inner circle, which looks great.  Using the sentiment sprouts, Angie has also used these randomly, mounting them up.  A great pack also to celebrate Mothers and Daughters.

Once again we are seeing some jam packed goodies in our Monthly Pack, and everyone is coming up with such gorgeous work.  Our beautiful new flowers are a real must have, and there is such a great range.

Thanks for sharing your work girls, and we are definitely looking forward to seeing what else you all come up with.

March Blind CropVille

Hi Everyone, this month's BCV had everyone in a bit of birthday mood.  The degree to which everyone distressed and inked is clearly a variable, as is the fussy cutting on the girl's layout.  The punched out photo pieces took a bit of courage, but they all look great.  Thanks to everyone for taking part, and to Sally for designing the layout.
Super Heroes by Dawn Collins
Josh is 5 by Max Rusk
Jem is Two by Roz Langridge
One by Jennie Seal
Just a little sneak peek of the fussy cutting on Jennie's layout.  The girls party, their outfits and the cake and faeries were clearly made for this layout!
Lucy's 1st by Judith Young
And here we have a little sneak peek of Judith's cutouts, bling and crimping.
Aged to Perfection by Gwllynes Axe

With this BCV the girls were given the option of doing a Boy layout or a Girl layout.  This gave everyone a more specific setting for their photos in this instance, and another change to the BCV's.
