Scarey Prizes......

Following the hugely entertaining October Blind CropVille, it was frightfully decided that we would do a giveaway...  Melinda has scrutinized the layouts with a fine toothed comb, and doing her darn scariest frown, has announced that the layout that she has chosen as the Closest, Scariest Looking, to the Master Layout.................................................... is to be awarded to Nicole.
Congratulations Nicole on your "Grrr..." layout. You can pick up your Scary Prize Pack from the Scrapville store.

Thanks to all the girls who took part, the layouts all look great, especially since quite a few of you were taken well and truly out of your "colour comfort zones...".  It never ceases to amaze me how different we all interpret and process instructions, and still we end up with great layouts.  Thanks to Melinda for keeping us guessing.

November's Blind CropVille is on Saturday the 20th, and if you are keen to see what this one holds, then book in now whilst there are still a few places available.  With the Afternoon and Evening options now available there is more flexibility with bookings.  Try to get one in before the end of the year!

cheers

Echo Park layout...

Hello to all... well I have finally had time to sit down and open my gorgeous Echo Park monthly pack and I must say that this pack just happens to tick all the boxes. How can you go past those gorgeous colours in the patterned papers and all the little bits and pieces that Janet has used to accessorise... yummo! Fortunately I have lots to spare so just might have to go back and make another layout or two.
Don't forget that October is almost over and Janet will be moving on to another couple of wonderful packs so if you still haven't got your Echo Park pack you had better race into Scrapville and grab one before they are all gone!
Happy scrapping...

October Blind CropVille

Boo!!  ..........well it is almost Halloween, and if this Blind CropVille was any indication, there were all sorts of spooky things going on................  Another wonderful Blind Crop was prepared by Melinda, with an array of techniques to challenge all present.  Many may have been scared off by the thought of this colour combination, but I am sure they will all change their minds once they've seen what the girls have done..  With only a colour combination to match their photos to, the girls did a great job of making their layouts work with their chosen photos.  You've gotta love that expression on Amber's "Surprised" layout of her perplexed little bubby!  Check it out...

Below is our Master Layout from Melinda, with the layouts from all the girls to follow.  What we DIDN'T reveal at the Creepy CropVille was that Melinda was going to choose a layout to receive a GRUESOME GIVEAWAY, and that will be done tomorrow once Melinda has looked over the layouts!

Check these out.................

Life is Good by Jennie Seal

Sweet Sweet Spring by Heather Bensley (CT)

Best by Jennie Seal

This one is a Sketch that has time management issues, and some of us can relate to that!  We are always happy to share your work though, so bring them in and let us all see the finished product...

My Beautiful Boy by Sam Epps

This layout is one from our "Love Bugs" class, and features the pink/purple kit.  Lots of paper tearing and bug bites on the paper!  This is a sample of the layout using the girls kit.  Below that is the one that uses the boys kit.

Blind CropVille

At our last Blind CropVille we ran the usual two Crops, only this time they were over several weeks.  So, with the next Blind CropVille only days away, I have finally managed to upload those layouts from last month.  The girls had fun making denim flowers, stitching flowers with different coloured embroidery threads and stamping and inking fading images.

For those wanting to explore their spooky creative side, the next Blind CropVille is going to look at bringing in a bit of mystery with Halloween as the theme.  There will be lots of interesting things to try out your interpretation skills, so if you want to give Melinda the creeps, come along and see what you can do with her instructions!!  We just might have a spot or two still available......and we are only a phone call away!

October/November Sketch Challenge

Hello Everyone, and welcome to the Sketch Challenge for October/November.  Let's get your creativity going with another great Sketch Challenge from Melinda.  Once you have completed your sketch you can email it to Janet, or drop it into the Scrapville store in Wodonga.  All completed Sketch Challenges will be put onto the Blog, and/or displayed in-store.

As part of the Criteria for doing the challenge we must be able to recognize the Sketch, but you may turn it, flip it or reverse it!  Lots of options there to play with!  If your Sketch meets the Criteria and is received before Pumpkin Time at Midnight on the 14th November, you will go into the draw for a Random Prize, and who doesn't like a free prize?!

October/November Scrapville Sketch Challenge

Below is how the first of the Creative Team Girls have used the Sketch as inspiration for their layouts.

I will be uploading some more samples over the coming days, but don't let that stop you!   Get your entries in early for that prize!

Pre Pumpkin Sketches........

Well look at the date, we're already there by golly!  And haven't we got a good mix of Sketches here to show you all.  The girls have been busy and managed to get them in before the dreaded Pumpkin Time!  Well done girls!!

Before I upload the September / October Sketches though, I still have a couple here to show you from April and Jinny.  Obviously I tripped over the dreaded pumpkin, and these ones were floating around in one of my tangents somewhere........   but I most certainly still want to show you all these great Sketches from the far away shores of the US.  So..........

Big Girl by April Walker

Your Sketch looks great April, and I like the colours you've used.

Future Musician by Jinny Newlin
Your different paper strips are a nicely blended choice Jinny,
and what a happy little noise maker you have there too!

And Jinny has also made a lovely card for the Sketch...

White Buffalo Calf Woman by Di
Nicely done Di, love that Eagle Feather.

Leggo at Play by Jennie Seal
Very bright & inviting Jennie, well done.

The 1 and Only by Deb Clark
We're still loving those OA papers hey Deb?  Love the flower, and I must say
that is a great photo of your "then" little man!

One of a Kind by Sarah
Swing that hat another 180 Sarah and that's my son at that age!  Really like how you've used the white space, it has really brought out the pinks.  Nice work.

Thanks for sharing your Sketch Layouts girls.  Always a pleasure to see what everyone comes up with.  New Sketch up tomorrow!

cheers

Scrapville Announcement

Hello Creative People, and welcome to the Announcement of our Winners for the $20.00 SCRAPVILLE VOUCHERs. Previously offered up was the opportunity to win a Voucher for completing a layout from the Monthly Packs using EITHER the Mama Razzi range from BoBunny, or Wishful Thinking from Fancy Pants. The only guideline I specified, apart from remaining within the packs, was that I would choose a technique or style to focus on when choosing the winner.  This would remain undisclosed so that all entries would be completed without influence.

So, the layout I have chosen has been completed using the Mama Razzi range from BoBunny.  This layout used a lot of distressing techniques, and implemented the raw products from the pack into the theme, which is what I had chosen to focus on.  Without further ado, the $20.00 Scrapville Voucher goes to Di Corbitt for her Monument Valley layout.  Congratulations Di.

The winner can call into Scrapville to collect their vouchers.

cheers

October Monthly Pack

Hello Creative People, just a quick one to give you all a look at the Monthly Packs.  There will be more samples from the Creative Team girls uploaded shortly.

OCTOBER MONTHLY PACK

Life is Good from Echo Park
All patterned papers are double sided, so you are seeing both sides.  The chip shapes are frames, and the alphas are random.  Each pack contains coordinating embellishments that vary from pack to pack...  The cracker photographer also left a daisie from Sandies Handmade Daisies underneath the chip shape, but I'm sure you can see the rest ....

The Life is Good Booster Pack
The Journal Sheet and Border Sheet are also handy with extra options there.  The pearls will go nicely with this range, and the buttons, star brads and doily will tie in nicely also.

The first of our samples is another stunning piece by the very talented Marg Oliver.

Life is Beautiful by Marg Oliver (CT)

Also by Marg Oliver, sample Cards.

Beautiful by Heather Bensley (CT)

Those that have subscriptions to collect will find them put away at Scrapville.

Please also note that we have now reached that time when Subscriptions will all expire at the end of this month (unless otherwise specified).  A new Subscription Form will be available from next week.

Happy Scrapping and Creating!
